Well hello. Thanks for checking out my profile. I'm not your typical, run of the mill black retreiver...no Sir! I am very smart, energetic, well behaved healthy dog and I just love everybody. I love to be outdoors running and playing and chasing the butterflies, or bees, or my own tail! I was rescued several months ago after I was found wandering in a private neighborhood. The dog police came and hauled me to jail. There I waited for someone to claim me, or to adopt me. But no one came. 

Finally, a call went out to Perry and he came that same afternoon. Took me to his sanctuary and introduced me to the pack here.  Boy there's lots of different dogs here. We all end up here when no one else would help. Perry always has his door open for us orphans. He gives us a safe, clean, happy place to call home until we can find a permanent place to live. I will need a fenced yard to be safe while I learn the boundaries of my new home. I'll do best with kind, reassuring words and patience when you teach me. I want to have my own family and my own special place to call home. I'll be a loving, happy dog you'll treasure for years and years. May I please come home with you, forever?
